Inspired by chillhop styles, we’ve decided to modify our direction to produce a chillhop-math rock fusion sort of music. po te chi pu talks about our love for Singapore’s potato chips’ brands and how it always inspires us when we write songs (we finish bags of chips every time). The song sort of talks about growing up. Beginning with nostalgic potato chips chewing sounds and children playing at the playground, it evolves from simple palatable chillhop beats to complex math rock beats later on, yet still enjoyable to listen to.

This is only the first - and prelude - to the full album which should be ready by the end of 2022, which (HINT) will be about different sorts of unique dishes that Singapore offers, from all cultures. The album is going to be titled “Jiak Simi?” which in hokkien dialect, means “What Shall We Eat?” a common phrase we hear people say across all walks of life, in Singapore.
